It was January 17, 1871, when France was defeated by Prussia.
For 3 hours, Eugène and Joseph Barbedette, Françoise Richer, and Jeanne-Marie Lebossé contemplated the “Beautiful Lady,” dressed in a blue dress sprinkled with stars, with a black veil on her head and a gold crown with a red border, and blue slippers with a gold buckle on her feet.
She holds her hands out in front of her and smiles at the children.
She appears in a triangle formed by three large golden stars in the sky.

Having rushed to the barn, the inhabitants of the hamlet began to pray with the Sisters. Upon the arrival of the parish priest, Father Michel Guérin, a blue oval with four unlit candles was placed around the Beautiful Lady, and a small red cross appeared on her chest over her heart.
During the rosary, the Beautiful Lady slowly grows larger with each Hail Mary. The oval also grows larger, and the stars multiply on her robe and around her.
At the beginning of the Magnificat, a white banner unfurls beneath the oval, and gold letters appear one after another. The message continues throughout the litanies, the Inviolata, and the Salve Regina. At this point, it is complete.
But pray, my children, God will answer you in a short time. My son is moved by your prayers.

At the beginning of the hymn ” Mother of Hope “,
Marie will raise her hands to shoulder height and move her fingers to the rhythm of the hymn.

After another hymn, its refrain “Parce Domine,” her face was filled with unspeakable sadness. A bright red cross appeared before her, bearing the crucified Christ in a deep red.
At the top of the cross
was a white crossbar with a name written in blood-red letters: JESUS CHRIST.
Mary took the cross in both hands
and presented it to the children.
A small star lit the candles in the oval.
They prayed in silence, weeping.
They sang “Ave Maris Stella.”
The red crucifix disappeared.
Mary resumed her initial pose and smiled again.

Two small white crosses appear on his shoulders.
During the evening prayer that followed, a white veil rose slowly from below before the Virgin Mary.
Then everything disappeared.
“It’s all over,” the children said.
Everyone returns home with a peaceful heart.
