This is the link to open the actual June Encounter newsletter click here. You will find, I think, both articles, the one explaining more about Holy Trinity. The link is worth clicking on because it includes the Church of Washington, DC’s mission activities and editor McCrabb’s article on St Joseph for the Year of St. Joseph.
The feast of Sts. Peter and Paul tomorrow reminds us of true Christian Unity. St. Peter is associated with the Roman Catholic Church, and St. Paul with the Protestant Churches. The Patriarch of Constantinople, so important for the Eastern Churches, always sends a representative to Rome as a sign of fraternity, on
this feast.
As all Christian Churches continue in the time of Pentecost, we remember that St. Cyril of Jerusalem has written of the fragrance of the Holy Spirit (Breviary 2:968).
So it’s not just tea roses and peonies that are fragrant now. May each of us be inspired by the Holy Spirit to share His fragrance with all
around us.
